Welcome to Lassiter Trojan Fencing! Any interested students may join -- no previous fencing experience is required! However, due to safety concerns, the 2009-2010 season will be restricted to the first 60 fencers.
Summer Camp: July 6 - 10, 9 am until noon. Cost $120.00. Open to rising 9th through 12th graders. The camp will accommodate both novice and experienced fencers. Upload necessary registration forms and information from this site, or e-mail Diana Bishop for more info.
Trojan Fencers 2009-2010: All registration materials are due prior to August 17: (2009-2010 Trojan Fencing Membership Registration, LHS Physical Form (dated after 4/1/09), and annual dues of $125.00). Beginning fencers may initially use team equipment, but are responsible for purchasing their own gear prior to the first tournament in late September. Fencers may not attend practice until all paperwork is completed and full dues have been paid.
Every team member is taught to fence and will be able to represent Lassiter in fencing competitions against other high schools in the Georgia High School Fencing League. Over 50 student-athletes with varying levels of experience are on our team.
Practices are held Monday and Thursdays from 3:45 - 5:30 in the Lassiter cafeteria. The first practice will be August 17th. Tournaments are held one Saturday per month from September to March. (Click for GHSFL tournament information.)
