The Lassiter Trojan Fencing Booster Club is the parent organization supporting Lassiter Trojan Fencing. Its purpose is to support the academic, athletic and financial needs of the Lassiter Trojan fencing program and to encourage and support the Fencing Club in athletic competitions in the Georgia High School Fencing League (GHSFL), work with the Lassiter High School administration to provide opportunities for instructional and training activities within the sport of fencing through public support, seminars, training camps etc.

Essential Information:

The Money:

Dues are $125 for the school year. Members receive team socks, team t-shirts, a car magnet, equipment for the first two months, and professional instruction by a certified epee coach. Dues also cover team equipment costs and GHSFL fees.

Each fencer will have their own equipment. Start-up expenses are estimated at $350.00

Introductory equipment includes:

• Fencing jacket with name on the back and fencing knickers.
• Underarm protector (plastron)
• Mask
• Glove
• Body Cord
• Electric Epee
• Fencing Bag
• Girls must also purchase a chect protector.

Recognition Awards:

As a club sport, we are not currently allowed to award letters to our athletes. However, fencers who make a superior effort to participate in practices, tournaments, and team activites are recognized at the end of the season and are entitled to a special emblem on their team warm up jacket.

For 2008-2009, fencers will receive 5 points for attending practices and activities and 10 points for attending tournaments. A total of 255 points (out of a possible 330) will be required to receive a recognition award.

Donations:

We gratefully accept donations to assist with providing equipment to the team and to fencers who could not participate otherwise. Donations can be made by check to Lassiter Fencing or by selecting the donation button to make a donation from a PayPal account or on a credit card. Please specify your fencer's name.
